Welcome to the home of the Suburbine - the vertical-axis residential wind turbine for primarily urban applications. Currently the project is the brainchild of Stevens Institute of Technology Mechanical Engineering students Matthew Kukis, Daniel Newman and Scott Snyder. Initially an idea in 2009, the concept has evolved into a fully functioning unit. This website catalogs the conceptual design and construction of the prototype as well as the overall idea for the project.
